National Wear Red Day
We are pleased to announce that for 2012 Fabric Mart will be going “Red” to raise awareness with the American Heart Association. Heart Disease is the #1 killer of women in the US, more than all cancers combined! Help us get the word out and wear red on Friday Feb. 3rd. Make a Donation that day and learn the basics of foundation paper piecing, a quilting technique that makes complicated looking blocks oh ‘sew’ easy!

Flying Geese Quilt Block
The name "Flying Geese Quilt" is derived from the triangular geese that fly up the quilt. This is a traditional pattern that quilters have been making since the 1800's. In this two part class we will be learning an easy method for piecing traditional Flying Geese blocks. Working knowledge of your sewing machine and accurate 1/4” seams are required.
Class Dates: Feb. 8th & 15th, 2012 1pm-4pm
Fee: $45, includes book and ruler!
**NEW DATE** Fleece Jacket One Day Workshop
Spend the day making a simple fleece jacket using Simplicity Pattern #2009. Basic garment construction will be covered as well as how to read a pattern. Working knowledge of your sewing machine is a must. This class is designed for a beginner.
Date: Feb. 18th, 2012 11am to 5pm
Fee: $25 includes the pattern
Learn to Sew a Basic Skirt
This pattern has it all for Spring… A layered look, elastic waistband and can be made from any light weight fabric including cotton. We will be using Simplicity pattern #1966 and learning the basics of reading a pattern and garment construction. This class is designed for a real beginner. Some basic knowledge of your sewing machine is a must (how to thread) but knowledge of how to use a pattern is not.
Date: Feb. 25th 11am-5pm
Fee: $25 includes pattern

Stuck on a project, not sure where to start, have no idea how to read a pattern? Come sit and sew with us on Thursdays. Beginners through advanced welcome. No sewing experience necessary, your sewing machine or ours. Only $5 for the day.
Quilting Club - 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month, 7-10pm.

Need help on that quilt you’re working on? Stuck on what to do next? Just want to sit and quilt with other people? Join us for Quilting Club. Beginners through advanced welcome. Your sewing machine or ours. Only $5 for the evening.
Kids Klub - One Saturday a month, 10:30am to 1pm or 1:30-4pm
Kids ages 8-12 sit and learn basic sewing skills while completing a fun project. No sewing experience necessary. Your sewing machine or ours. Space is very limited, so please register early. Class fee is $25, plus kit fee. Kit fee varies, depending on the project for that month. Please call Fabric Mart for specific dates and projects.
Private lessons available -
Learn to use your sewing machine, read a pattern, or just about anything you want to do. Kids through adults welcome. $25 an hour.
